Associate Professor Luke Burchill has a joint appointment between Mayo Clinic (Rochester, USA) and the University of Melbourne / Royal Melbourne Hospital. He is recognized as an international leader in the clinical field of adult congenital heart disease. Between 2018-2021, A/Professor Burchill developed a Culturally Adaptive Governance Framework to empower Indigenous voice and governance in Indigenous health research. He is Australia’s first Aboriginal cardiologist and a proud member of the Yorta Yorta and Dja Dja Wurrung Nations.
